My Experience
Popped in for an hour for a soak. Includes a small pool for the adults and a cooler larger pool. The facility is spotlessly clean and nicely set, the only drawback is the lack of view - just the fence, when the bay is only 30m away that is a bit of a shame. 8/10

- Clean but very basic. The 35C pool felt a bit chilly but was nice for a lazy swim.
It has a sort of 'fenced' bit at the entrance of the pool for smaller children.
The warmer pool is no children and is rather small.
There is a nice 'waterfall' feature but otherwise you are totally encircled by wooden fences.
No sulphur smell and adequate change rooms.
Was $7 for an adult and $3 for a 4 year old. Bit pricey if you're only going for a quick dip.

- Have come here often, very clean and welcoming

- Very nice clean camp, small but adequate hot pools out of season, but the price at $40 for powered site for two was over the top. Other hot pools-cum-camps didn't charge us more than $35, and better pools.

- Nice wee place with a nice pool environment - have a soft spot for Athenree. Have been a few times for swim & to stay - would recommend if you're near by. Pity it's not open a bit later @ night.

- Brilliant 6 night stay. Our first "real camping" trip with our boys (4 & 6). The pools were brilliant, even on the chilly days. Pools and camp were very clean and tidy. Thank you for a great holiday, look forward to a return trip.

- It was suggested that when in this area we might like to check out these pools. Entry is free if you stay at the camping groung which is around $50 for a family of 4 on a powered site. However, if you're not camping the entry is $20 for the 4 of us, which I thought was a bit rich as the pool even though nice is very basic. $10 - $15 would have been more realistic

- Natural, mineral pools - the larger at 35C and the smaller adult pool at 39.5C. Pools are open to the public from 10am to 7:30pm daily - free to guests at the park

- Visited Athenree at the end of April just by chance - we saw a sign for it and just went there. When we got there we realised we had no towels but that wasnt an issue as they had some there we could use. Pools were drenched in sunlight, There was a hot pool for the adults and a larger playing pool for the children - both of which were well utilised, clean and heavenly to soak in. Could imagine the place packed out in Summer when the holiday park was full.
