Lovely spot. Brought a party of 23 (West Auckland Tramping club). Stayed the weekend Holiday Park. Everything was spotless. Hosts very welcoming. Excellent value for money. Highly recommend.
I went there for the first time yesterday, I was very impressed, it was clean, the staff friendly and helpfull, I am planing on going there again for a week end . Many thanks for a relaxing spot.
A Fabulous camping and hot pool experience. Wonderful silky water. The staff are incredibly friendly and informative about the local attractions and I give them top marks for cleanliness of the holiday park facilities. I have booked to come back for a cosy weekend in their deluxe chalets.
I had the wonderful privilege of staying in a motel unit at Athenree at the beginning of September. What an idyllic wee spot. The grounds are the cleanest I have ever seen. The friendliest staff. Loved the hot pools, spent time soaking every day I was there. Loved the fact that the pools are exclusively for campers first thing in…

Have come here often, very clean and welcoming

Nice wee place with a nice pool environment – have a soft spot for Athenree. Have been a few times for swim & to stay – would recommend if you’re near by. Pity it’s not open a bit later @ night.
Brilliant 6 night stay. Our first “real camping” trip with our boys (4 & 6). The pools were brilliant, even on the chilly days. Pools and camp were very clean and tidy. Thank you for a great holiday, look forward to a return trip.
It was suggested that when in this area we might like to check out these pools. Entry is free if you stay at the camping groung which is around $50 for a family of 4 on a powered site. However, if you’re not camping the entry is $20 for the 4 of us, which I thought was a bit rich…
