Entrance via Sylvia Flats rest-area on Boyle side of Lewis Pass. short walkway at northern end of carpark to, at least, 3 pools formed next to the river.
Hurunui River, South of Lake Taylor
The bath can be hard to find. Not the hottest bathwater but the valley itself is worth a vist. Visit the North branch pool the next day. [JR, NZ]
Corner Jacks Pass Road & Amuri Avenue, Hanmer Springs
Quite different in character from North Island pools (for geological reasons.) A well operated complex in a delightful resort town. You're missing something if you haven't been here at least once! [Andrew A., Wellington]
Lake Tekapo, Canterbury
Lake side open air commercial hot pools. With lake and mountain views from the pools which are backed by connifers - which look great when snow covered. [Andrew Watson, Christchurch]
