Remote and rarely visited, it takes about 2 days to reach this geothermic wonder. The most direct way to this beautiful place is via the Toaroha Valley. Once at the head of the valley, climb the saddle and drop into the Mungo River. Take the track upstream to Mungo Hut. [Tim Lucas, New Zealand]

The upper one which is on the True Left of the Mungo River approximately 60metres above the confluence with Brunswick Creek appears to be full of gravel & needs digging out.
