Dave Hume Swimming Pools are part of the Vessey Stewart Park, Carisbrooke St, Katikati. Travelling north on State Highway 2, turn right into Fairview Rd (at Motels) and second left. The pools aren't too bad but the employees are awful, they make no effort to stop small children, that have no parents or caregivers around, from physically and verbally abusing other people at the pools, including when they follow you around and hit you on the head repeatedly with a blown up tire tube. They sit on their asses, no care for anybodies safety, and take their sweet time getting to the counter to let you pay and go in. They also have no eftpos.
