We flew in from Sydney Australia, picked up our motorhome and drove straight here for our first night of our holiday and returned for our last night before flying home. To relax in the hot pool after a day of travel was amazing, I would recommend staying here to anyone arriving in Auckland even if you are planning on heading north as it’s only about an hour out of Auckland. We found the CP good , clean and the facilities were good. The total relaxation of soaking in the pool after a day of travel cannot be over emphasised. Next time we fly in we will certainly be back here.

This camping ground is lovely and the pool is amazing. Unfortunately it was quite noisey when we were there due to some kind of construction going on. Also, you can hear music from the neighbouring hotpools continually and if you are on business you will not be able to send emails via their service provider as they don't know the server name or password :s

I cannot fault this place. I arrived very stressed after a couple of bad accommodation experiences, and the lady at reception gave me a considerable discount on what turned out to be the disabled unit. (As I am slightly disabled it was ideal.) This was in May 2013. Beautiful clean unit with all mod cons including its own laundry and a walk-in large shower. Very new and spotless. As for the pool, well it was immaculate, just the perfect temperature (38) for a 3-1/2 hour soak, not many people there, maybe a dozen, and with foresight they have a tap where you can re-hydrate, a facility missing in most of the hot pools in NZ. I am going back there again this May (2014) and really looking forward to it, as it will be my last hot pool before I fly back to Oz.

Just had Fantastic 3 nights, so good we have booked already to go back and take the family and grandchildren with us. Everything it so clean, huge kitchen (if you forget the detergent or tea towel do not worry they are supplied); the idea of a cloth at the hand basin to clean up after yourself was a great idea.

Visited for the day with friends and family, felt that we were a burden to the cashier who was later identified as the owner. Rude and inassisting when we needed to use the BBQ, upon making enquiries regarding the accomodation, once again, we felt as though we were a burden. May reconsider going back due to the lack of PR and general poor service from the "Grumpy Lady" as said by my then 7 year old daughter.

The Apartments and Studios were excellent in all respects. The Cottages are disappointing by comparison. Facilities are very good and the Park is well managed resulting in a peaceful long weekend. The Managers made every effort to accommodate our large group of 45 including allowing us to erect two gazebos for communal gathering.

The Park was an ideal venue for the 2011 BSA National Rally with the wide range of accommodation, the hot pool, the shop and the very friendly and helpful staff. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for the staff whether sorting out photocopying, taking tsunami precautions or soothing ruffled feathers. A great place to base a Rally!

This has become our favourite place to stay...staff are exceptionally friendly and the facilities are fantastic and very clean and tidy. Having three young children can be difficult when finding a place that suits adults and children yet this was not an issue at all. The kids had plenty to do and keep asking when we are going back. My husband and I had such a relaxing time and would highly recommend holidaying at Miranda Holiday Park again.

This place is a hidden paradise! It has a very tropical feel about it. It is safe for children, I am a mum of 2 under five and it accomodates them beautifully. Everything and MORE can be found here. VERy friendly, warm staff...universal rules apply to this park, 10am check out and afternoon check in, if you dont know this and have a munt about it, then you're a dumbarse! I stayed over 5 night and didn't want to leave. The people that run this establishment, sacha and russell are very professional, but warm, friendly and accomodating...the hot pool is FABULOUS...clean, non slip, great for kids and is fantastic that it has a time for just adults...the BEST Holiday Park I have ever been too and i am a traveller...if you want paradise...Miranda Holiday Park is the place to go!

The staff/owners here are just plain unhelpful and nasty. Never have I paid money to someone and been treated like a major inconvenience. Had there been another place to stay I would have told them where to shove it. RUDE! Also, try phoning up and seeing if there is a room available, you will be scoffed at if there isn't and made to feel more unwelcome than when you actually stay there. They should own a snobby store in Remuera not a place that is meant to be fun and good for a break. Shame on you all. Just disgusting. Will NEVER even spit in your derection let alone pay you money again.

Hi Andrew, Thankyou for your feedback. The team at Miranda Holiday Park are very sorry for the incovenient power outage at the park when you stayed. Together with the power compay that owns the infrustucture in our area, steps have been taken to upgrade the power supply to the park so that power outages are minimised. Most holiday parks do thier cleaning between 10am and 1pm so it is ready for guests checking in the afternoon. You will be happy to here we have upgraded the couches and drapes in our chalets and they look rather smart. In consultation with the owners of the park, it was decided that because the power was off for a short time a 50% refund was offered. We would have liked to contact you but your details are not in our system. Kindest Regards The Team At Miranda Holiday Park.

The place is clean, but at a cost. Every time we went there, the management seemed to make us feel that we are disturbing them. One time we arrived 20 minutes before the check-in time and they made us wait, even though they had a room ready. Consider staying at Miranda Shorebird Centre and using the larger pools right next to this park.

First timer visitores for all of us, our large group definitely enjoyed our stay over the weekend that we're already planning our next long weekend back. Value for money!! Great service from the girls at reception & cleanest facilities we've seen for some time which is a bonus these days. I noticed the caretaker taking alot of pride during his rounds and it shows throughout the park. Hot Spring closed due to power outage but no complaints from us, we totally enjoyed our stay. See you soon

Don't stay here! The power and water was cut to our rooms (due to the office cutting the power to the park) and we had no water or heating for the first night in mid winter and also first thing in the morning when needing showers and toilets it was a nightmare and unsanitary with our children needing showers and toilet. We were given a pathetic compensation of 50% off our next visit (we live in Canada!). This is disgraceful, we would never stay here again, terrible owners, would not recommend staying here. Everything closes for cleaning at about 10 am. That means you cannot use the kitchen, pool or toilet block. It is just a way of getting people out of the camping ground early as you cannot use the facilities for about 2 hours. It certainly makes it hard to have a sleep in on the weekend! Shame on you Miranda Holiday Park! The furnishings in the cabins could be a lot better for the price you pay.

I toured the North and South Island extensively for almost 3 months and the spa bath in the huge bathroom in the apartments at Miranda was by far and away the best of any top end facility I stayed at. Not only were the spa jets powerful and strategically placed at neck, back and feet level, there was a choice of fresh water or mineral water from the taps. The outdoor pool is surrounded by a beautifully landscaped garden and rock work with waterfalls. I wish the young couple that manages the park every success as they made my stay so comfortable the first time, I came back on my way back to Auckland. This is truly a first class experience.
