Oasis Motels. My wife and I treat this place as a destination. It is well laid out and the grounds are well maintained. We stay in a campervan. All services are handy yet we can keep our privacy. The owner and his family are very friendly and helpful. Coffee is great. The zoo is wonderful. First time I have ever seen a yak and fed an alpaca.l

Oasis Motels and Motor camp has always been a favourite of mine but to my surprise they now offer 5 thermal pools including the large pool. But the fact that they have turned the three spa pools which apparently had very little custom into thermal pools has made it a great spot to visit. At $9.00 for a one hour use of the hot pools or free if staying either at the motels, cabins or camping there.
I found the pools clean and excellent with a temperature around 40 F. Barbara the manager makes one feel most welcome and along with the staff go out of their way to make it a great visit for a swim or stay. Value for money, they must be one of the best thermal pools to visit in the region. I highly recommend this one.

We stayed at Refresh Cottage in Turangi only 5 mins away from the hot pools. The cottage was ideal and the pools were nice and soothing after a day up the mountains in the snow. We will definately return.

Braxmere Fishing Lodge / Lakeland Retreat loved this place.. tucked away down Waihi rd on shores of the Lake.. Hot pool included also Restaurant and Bar. Returning again this Winter 2010.

The thermal pools at Oasis Motel are a real treat, with three options including private spas with bubbles! The hottest of the three is guaranteed to soften you up after a hard day skiing Whakapapa. We stayed two winters in a row! Charlie
