We came to stay here from Waiheke because of the mineral pool in its advertising. However this wasn’t working when we arrived on Monday and we were told that no more gas to heat it would be purchased until the Thursday. No apology or discount was forthcoming. We appreciated the free Wifi but this was one of the coldest nights I’ve ever spent in the Possum cottage which has an ancient one bar heater (the second bar was missing). It was -3 degrees the night we stayed. The owner was absent when we stayed and the people running it were not particularly friendly or helpful.
