Tekapo Springs (formerly Alpine Springs & Spa)

This place is in a great location, but there’s no view of the lake from the pools! The place gets far too crowded over the school holidays, with screaming kids dive-bombing and generally being annoying. The adult pool is too hot. Changing rooms are small and grubby and are always falling to bits (hairdryers dead, doors that won’t lock, broken taps etc). Worse of all, the snow slide had an HOUR AND A HALF wait! Unbelievable.
