About 20-25 of our bike club (Maketu Gentlemans Club), and our families rode over from the Bay of Plenty on 1 January 2010. What an awesome time we all had. We basically had a free run of things while we were there and the hospitality from the locals (or in my case, whanau) was fantastic. Some of us tented it, some of us had rooms and all the kids slept in the big lounge. Because of an accident, we had to cut our trip short, but will definitely be going back. Thanks Auntie and Uncle for an awesome time.
