We came by boat, we didn’t bother with the pools by the cliff, as they were occupied . A local told us about a pool in the bush approx 50 metres from the lake edge.it is in a small bay just to the west of the circle of stone on the cliff.
We landed on a small sandy beach and walked straight into the bush , the pool was easily found, large pool formed from a man made dam in a stream, hot clean water, chest high when sitting down, a gravel bottom, doc have put a bench next to the pool and steps down into the water.
For a time we had the pool to ourselves, then three hikers arrived who told us it had taken five hours to tramp there.
This pool and it’s setting are beautiful, one of the best we have been to, we will be back soon
