The real deal for those looking for proper thermal hot pools, not some concrete aquatic theme park. The things that might not appeal to some (very basic, almost homemade sort of feel) are exactly what makes this place such a gem. This is as real as you can get with murky volcanic (and smelly !) pools of varying temperatures from coolish to almost cook you if you’re game. Picture a volcanic area with multiple bubbling springs, line them with some wooden liners and lay a few footpaths and thats nga wha. At $4 an adult you simply couldn’t get better at many times the price. Locals were great too – very cruisey sort of place
